To place an order, please use the service request form. The HSCI iPS Core offers the following derivation services (rates differ according to Harvard affiliation and profit/non-profit status):

Module 1: Transition from Feeder to feeder-free culture (from 1 vial on MEFs to 5 cryovials on feeder-free culture)

One cryovial of human pluripotent stem cell line is thawed onto feeder culture condition. The cells are split once on feeder-culture condition before the transition to feeder-free. The cells are then expanded to 2x10cm plates and frozen down into 6 cryovials. One cryovial is thawed to test the recovery post-thawing and for mycoplasma test. Different feeder-free culture conditions can be used (Coating: Cultrex, Vitronectin, Laminin 521. Media: mTeSR1, Stemflex, mTeSr+ or other media if needed).

Module 2: Expansion and freezing (from 1 to 5 vials)

One cryovial of human pluripotent stem cell line is thawed onto feeder free culture condition. The cells are then expanded to 2x10cm plates and frozen down into 6 cryovials. One cryovial is thawed to test the recovery post-thawing and for mycoplasma test. Different feeder-free culture conditions can be used (Coating: Cultrex, Vitronectin, Laminin 521. Module 3: Expansion and freezing (from 1 to 20 vials)

One cryovial is thawed to test the recovery post-thawing and for mycoplasma test. Different feeder-free culture conditions can be used (Coating: Cultrex, Vitronectin, Laminin 521. Media: mTeSR1, Stemflex, mTeSr+ or other media if needed).
